Saul Nebot, President and Co-Founder of Back to the Roots, has over eight years of experience in youth work and non-formal education, primarily through environmental education. Graduated in Environmental Sciences and specialized in Sustainable Design and Agroecology, he has worked on projects focused on environmental awareness, sustainable waste management and the promotion of agroecology in rural and urban communities.
Throughout his career, Saúl has collaborated with various public administrations as an environmental educator, carrying out awareness-raising and training tasks in sustainability, zero waste and composting. He has also worked as a guide in water and waste treatment plants, bringing the operation of these systems closer to different audiences. His commitment to the environment and education has led him to design and implement innovative programs that foster the connection between people and nature, promoting a more sustainable way of life.
She has a Master’s degree in agroecology and several years of experience as the president of a Swedish environmental organisation fighting food waste and hunger, Bruised Food Club. After participating in two youth exchanges and a youth training on social work through Erasmus+, Alba has developed projects, organised events on food, climate and environmental awareness, and led teams working on these issues. She also worked as a climate educator for Friends of the Earth Sweden and Zero Waste Uppsala, giving workshops on climate change and climate justice. In addition to her commitment to environmental issues, Alba is also an artist and has been involved in music and dance projects for many years. She has sung in a band, a choir and an a cappella ensemble, performing on various occasions both in Spain and Sweden. As a dancer, she has knowledge in various styles within Hip Hop and is currently leading a contemporary and urban dance project called “The Food Must Go On”, which seeks to promote a stronger connection with the food we consume.
He is a sound engineer and music producer, and has been coordinating the sound of different events (concerts, theatres, conferences) in Barcelona for 8 years. His passion for music has led him to share it with more people in various types of musical projects. He has experience as a trainer in areas related to music and painting, teaching musical techniques to produce music with computers and synthesizers, as well as giving workshops on drawing, especially graffiti.
Ariadna is a journalist, photographer and video maker, and has her own interactive documentary project about sound system culture in Europe, called “Soundland”. Involved in sound system culture for the last 8 years, she is now part of a female collective that organizes reggae and dub music parties and festivals in Catalonia. On the other hand, Ariadna has been a scout since she was 11 years old, so non-formal education has been part of her life since she was little. At the age of 18 she started working as a non-formal educator in her free time. For the last 3 years, she has worked as a non-formal educator in schools, institutes, camps and summer camps. When she discovered Erasmus+ projects, she knew she wanted to get involved in this world in many ways.
